Moniepoint recently received significant seed funding, enabling them to recruit a large number of Java developers at unprecedented salaries (₦1.5m – ₦2.5m monthly). While this is great news for those developers, it has left many financial institutions—especially banks—with a shortage of capable Java developers. Other international organizations have also joined the fray, offering tantalizing packages and “snatching” local talent.
SQI College of ICT is stepping in to fill this talent void. Beginning in 2025, we are launching an intensive Java training program to produce a new wave of skilled, industry-ready developers. This effort will:
