ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Since 2008 of world class mentorship and unconventional approach in delivering ICT skills by SQI ICT Academy, the demand for professionally trained ICT personnel is ever-increasing. Hence, we launched the scholarship program in 2011 to open a wider window of opportunity to every promising talent, and today we have trained and certified over 4000 youths who currently hold important and viable positions in various organizations nationwide.

Test Date: Any Friday or Saturday between 1st June 2019 and 27th July 2019.
Time: 10am - 2pm
Venue: SQI COLLEGE OF ICT, Old Ilorin Road, Opp. Yoaco Filling Station, Yoaco, Ogbomoso.

EXPECTED CANDIDATES

The scholarship program is open to every individual between ages 13 to 45.
This annual scholarship program gives everyone (i.e O-level, A-Level, School Leavers, Employed Graduates, Unemployed Graduates e.tc) an opportunity to take any of our computer courses at little or no cost.

Our Target Groups

  •   School leavers who wish to acquire demonstrable practical skills to secure employment or generate employment
  •   Persons seeking career paths that do not need university degrees
  •   Persons who have not studied for some time and desire to do so
  •   Persons without time for full-time study but want to enhance their skills
  •   Persons wishing to go into self-employment
  •   University graduates seeking employable skills and
  •   Adults seeking opportunities to re-skill themselves

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Participants are expected to pay an acceptance fee of three thousand naira (3000) at most two (2) weeks after the scholarship result is out. Failure to do this shall result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
    N.B:
    a. The acceptance fee is for the acknowledgement of the scholarship offered.
    b. Percentage based scholarship participants are expected to make full-payment for the number of quarters they wish to apply the discount before the commencement of the training.
  • Participants with a full scholarship needs not pay anything else to SQI during the course of their training.
  • Any participant that scores above 75% in the scholarship test shall be eligible to a full scholarship.
  • Any participant that scores 75% and below in the scholarship test shall be eligible to a discounted scholarship.
  • For participants under full scholarship (i.e. scores above 75%), the scholarship shall be applicable to register for a maximum of one (1) course. Any other course registered for will be fully paid for by the participant.
  • For participants under discounted scholarship (i.e. scores below 75%), the scholarship shall be applicable to register for a maximum of one (1) course. Any other course registered for will be fully paid for by the participant.
  • Participants are not allowed to undertake two (2) programming courses at the same time.
  • Payment of all fees and commencement of training must be within one (1) month after the acceptance fee in (1a) above has been done as provisional offer of admission will lapse thereafter.
  • The training registered for must be started and completed at most ten (10) months after the scholarship result is out. Notification of absence or deferment of training/scholarship should be done in writing to seek an approval from the management.
  • Any participant caught involved in malpractice during the scholarship test shall be disqualified from participating in SQI annual ICT Scholarship
