ADMISSION INTO 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION IS NOW OPEN

The admission into the National Innovation Diploma is open for students.

Candidates intending to study at SQI College of ICT can initiate the admission process by applying through the institution’s portal.

For our NID program, JAMB’s UTME is now compulsory for those who intend to proceed with Direct Entry/HND. (Those who did not write JAMB will not be able to process Direct Entry or go for HND). Candidates without their UTME result can as well apply, however, such candidates must be ready to write the next UTME in order to secure a JAMB registration number and JAMB’s admission letter which are needed to certify them as bonafide students of a Nigerian tertiary institution and to be able to participate in the National Youth Service Programme.

SCICT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry requirements for the NID programmes are specified below;

1. A minimum of five (5) credit passes at WAEC/SSCE, NECO, GCE and NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, any other 3 subjects

2. Awaiting result is acceptable but candidate must possess 5 credit before graduation.

3. Applicants should have written and score at least 120 in their UTME.

4. Those who score lesser in their UTME can also apply but will have to pass the College’s internal test & interview to validate their application.

5. The Post-UTME fee (known as NID application fee) has been subsidized to #2,000 per applicant.

6. Acceptance fee for those who are offered admission is now #20,000 per applicant.

8. The academic calendar for the year 2023 is also attached; it covers the Beta Semester for 2022/2023 Academic Session and the Alpha Semester of 2023/2024 Academic Session.

9. Cloud and Server administration option and Internet of Things (IoT) option under Computer Hardware Engineering are set to also take off from 2023/2024 academic session.

10. We now have a change of course form for intending students who wish to switch from one course to another. The form cost #3,500

**Kindly be informed that those who want to apply for our NID can go ahead to the NID admission portal at edu.sqi.ng/nid to apply. And for parents who do not want their wards to sit at home (pending when the NID Admission will be issued out) but start immediately are to be advised to commence DGL classes at the cost of 50k before proceeding with any other professional courses which will be deducted from their professional tuition fee.
